Foxes are not dangerous to humans. A fox's home is called a den.It can be a hole in the ground or elsewhere, such as under a garden shed. Foxes are known to be friendly and curious. They play among themselves, as well as with other animals, like cats and dogs do. They love balls, which they will steal from backyards and golf courses. Although foxes are wild animals, their relationship with humans goes way back. Foxes usually live in forested areas, though they are also found in mountains, grasslands and deserts. A female fox is called a vixen.
